Steve Cook scored a late winner to hand Bournemouth a 1-0 victory over Barnsley in their Championship clash at Oakwell.
Bournemouth pressed early and tested the abilities of Luke Steele as Ryan Fraser fired an effort at goal from 20 yards, and in wet conditions the keeper did well to get down to make the save.
The visitors threatened again as Matt Ritchie fired a shot from distance, which Steele had to be at his best to parry away from goal and the lurking Fraser.
Eddie Howe's side should have taken the lead when Yann Kermorgant played Andrew Surman in behind the Barnsley defence, but his chipped effort went just wide of the post.
After the break, Fraser should have done a lot better with his effort from just outside the penalty area, but his shot went well over the bar.
Barnsley missed a good chance to take the lead when Chris O'Grady released Marcus Pedersen on goal, but the striker could only fire his effort wide of the target.
The visitors threatened late on when Kermorgant threaded a pass through to Ritchie, but he couldn't muster enough power on his effort to trouble Steele.
However, in stoppage time the Cherries did get their winner when Ian Harte's free kick was turned in by Steve Cook.
