Bradford City boss Phil Parkinson admits that he greatly enjoys Jose Mourinho's approach to management, especially in the biggest matches.

Bradford City boss Phil Parkinson has revealed his admiration of Jose Mourinho's approach to management.

The Bantams defeated Chelsea in the fourth round of the FA Cup before dispatching Sunderland in the fifth round to set up a quarter-final tie against Reading.

Parkinson has admitted that he has looked to the approach of the Portuguese in big games to inspire his own decisions to get the best out of his team.

He told reporters: "I like the fact that he will do whatever it takes to win. We're in an era of managers who sometimes let their own philosophy get in the way of what is the most important thing and that is to win each individual game.

"Mourinho sets his team up to win. The Capital One Cup final was a good example of that. For me, that's what management is about. Not just saying, 'we've got good players, go out and play'.

"It's about the tweaks and adaptations we can make today to give us the best chance of winning. That's why I like looking at what Mourinho does because he has great skill at that."

Bradford take on Reading at Valley Parade later today as they seek to earn a place in the last four of the competition.
