Sports Mole previews Saturday's Championship encounter between Brentford and Brighton at Griffin Park.

After an inauspicious start to the season, Brighton & Hove Albion are beginning to find their feet under new manager Sami Hyypia.

The Seagulls go into Saturday's Championship match against Brentford unbeaten in their last four outings in all competitions having lost their opening two league games.

Fans will not be getting too carried away with the apparent resurgence just yet, however, as victories over troubled Leeds United and struggling Bolton Wanderers were expected for a side with playoff ambitions.

Indeed, Brighton are yet to face a side that finished in the top half of the Championship table last season, so seven points from their opening five matches may be viewed as something of a disappointment.

However, Hyypia will know that you can only beat the teams put in front of you, and another three points at Griffin Park this weekend would set his side up nicely for the tougher tests that are to come.

He will be without the injured trio of Dale Stephens, Solly March and Kemy Agustien, although the latter is nearing a return to training and could be back within a couple of weeks.

Brentford have made a fine start to life in the Championship themselves, picking up eight points from their opening five matches in the second tier.

The Bees have lost just once in that time, while they go into this weekend's clash having avoided defeat in each of their last three outings.

As with Brighton, the fixture list has been relatively kind to the newly-promoted side, but manager Mark Warburton will be keen to get as many points on the board as possible in the early stages of the campaign.

Their form at Griffin Park is likely to be key to doing that, with Brentford having boasted the best home record in League One last season with 58 points from 23 games.

They are, however, yet to win in front of their own fans in all competitions so far this campaign, drawing both of their league matches while losing to Fulham in the League Cup.

Warburton will be without Scott Hogan after he underwent surgery on his knee that could keep him out for the rest of the season, but Moses Odubajo, Scott Dallas and Tommy Smith have all overcome injury problems and are in contention to start.
