Bristol City boss Steve Cotterill has insisted that his team deserved their late 3-2 victory over Chesterfield on Saturday.
The Robins extended their lead at the top of the League One table to five points yesterday afternoon as Wes Burns netted a 93rd-minute winner at Ashton Gate.
While admitting that Chesterfield played their part in a thrilling encounter, Cotterill believes that City were worthy winners.
"I think we had the better chances in the game and if we were ruthless enough, it could have been five, but Chesterfield had some good possession and played some good football, let's not take that away from them," he told BBC Sport.
Unbeaten City continue their league campaign next Saturday with a trip to Coventry City.
