League One leaders Bristol City are being held to a 1-1 draw by Chesterfield at the halfway stage of this afternoon's match.
The hosts took the lead in the ninth minute when Ian Evatt turned Joe Bryan's cross into his own net.
Wade Elliott came close to grabbing a second moments later, but he was unable to turn Mark Little's cross goalwards.
Chesterfield were given the chance to level the scores in the 25th minute after Derrick Williams gave away a penalty for bringing down Eoin Doyle inside the box.
Doyle himself stepped up to take the spot kick and made no mistake by firing the ball in straight down the middle.
Bristol almost regained their lead two minutes later, but Bryan's curling effort hit the outside of the post.
