Portsmouth are nearing a deal with out-of-contract Bristol City goalkeeper Stephen Henderson, according to Sky Sports News.
Bristol manager Keith Millen revealed yesterday that the 23-year-old had declined a new contract with the Ashton Gate club as he looks elsewhere for regular first-team football.
"He didn't return to training and he didn't accept our contract offer so now we will see what club he joins," he said.
"It's a shame he's decided to leave and I'm disappointed because I really wanted to keep him.
"With the quality we have at the club, he clearly sees his first-team chances limited and equally it's very difficult keeping three goalkeepers happy."
