Burnley manager Sean Dyche has revealed that Joey Barton is training at the club following his departure from Rangers.
The midfielder, who played for the Clarets last season, is without a club after leaving Rangers just six months into a two-year deal at Ibrox.
Barton featured eight times before being suspended following a training-ground bust-up with teammate Andy Halliday in the wake of the Gers' 5-1 defeat to Celtic in September.
The 34-year-old had his contract terminated earlier this month, and will be free to join another club in January.
Dyche told the Burnley Express: "Joey has been in with us training, to get himself fit, not with the first team. Beyond that, anything else is for the future, he's just getting himself fit."
Barton was hit with a one-match ban last week after admitting to breaching the Scottish Football Association's betting rules.
