Burnley suffered their first defeat of pre-season by going down 4-2 to Accrington Stanley this afternoon.
Accrington were two up inside six minutes as Matt Crooks dinked over Matt Gilks after Seamus Conneely had rifled past the Burnley keeper from distance to break the deadlock.
The League Two side did not let up and were 3-0 up in the 10th minute thanks to Sean McConville, who poached on a loose ball in the box before finding the net.
Burnley were struggling to get back into the game, but they were given a chance after half an hour when Lukas Jutkiewicz was felled in the area and he stepped up to get the Clarets on the scoresheet.
Jelle Vossen pulled another back before half time, but that was as good as it got for Sean Dyche's side.
They were close to scoring the sixth goal of the game and equalising, but it was Accrington who put the result beyond doubt six minutes from time as Crooks grabbed his second of the match.
