Lukas Jutkiewicz scores twice as Burnley are held to a 2-2 draw by La Liga side Celta Vigo at Turf Moor.

Burnley have been held to a 2-2 draw by La Liga side Celta Vigo, despite Lukas Jutkiewicz grabbing a brace for the Clarets at Turf Moor this evening.

The hosts made a perfect start to the match as they took the lead inside two minutes when Dean Marney and Ross Wallace combined to set up Jutkiewicz, who applied the finish.

Jutkiewicz almost doubled his personal tally in the 15th minute but, having shown good strength to beat a defender, he fired his effort against the post.

Burnley continued to apply the pressure in the opening exchanges and came close twice in quick succession when Ben Mee sent a header just wide before Jutkiewicz forced a save from the keeper.

Celta's first clear chance of the game came with just eight minutes until the break when Joaquin Larrivey found himself in a good position, but Tom Heaton was able to deny the Argentine from close range.

The Spaniards threatened again five minutes after the restart, coming within inches of an equaliser as Fabian Orellana struck the crossbar.

Charles Dias and Nolito then came close for the visitors before they finally restored parity, Alex Lopez levelling things having been played in by Orellana.

They were on terms for little more than a minute, however, as Burnley immediately regained the lead through Jutkiewicz's second of the night following good work by Ashley Barnes.

It was Celta's turn to respond shortly afterwards as Orellana again acted as provider to set up Nolito for the equaliser, capping off a spell of three goals in four minutes.

That was the end of the goalscoring action altogether as neither side could conjure up a winner in the closing stages.
