Watford are reportedly on the brink of completing the signing of Andre Gray from Burnley after agreeing to pay their Premier League rivals a sum of £18.5m.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a number of top-flight clubs this summer, including the likes of Newcastle United, West Ham United and most recently Watford.
Marco Silva's men lead the race for Gray's signature, though, and they could get a deal over the line in the next 48 hours or so.
According to the London Evening Standard, the Hornets are keen to finalise a move prior to their season-opening clash with Liverpool next weekend, becoming the seventh signing made since Silva's appointment.
Championship club Brentford will also supposedly benefit from Gray's impending transfer due to a sell-on clause inserted into his contract, with a £1.9m windfall expected.
