Mauricio Pinilla netted three goals as Cagliari recorded a 3-0 victory over visiting Cesena this afternoon.
The 28-year-old opened the scoring from close range in the 12th minute, before going on to double Cagliari's advantage in the 45th minute from the penalty spot.
Pinilla made sure of the victory in the 56th minute when he added his second penalty of the match.
Any chance Cesena had of mounting a comeback were ended when Giuseppe Colucci and Marco Rossi were sent off in quick succession.
