Cardiff City coach Paul Trollope has been appointed national team coach with Wales.
The 43-year-old former midfielder's "primary focus" will stay with Championship side Cardiff, but he will also work under Chris Coleman with the national team.
Cardiff chief executive officer Ken Choo told the club website: "Whilst his primary focus remains on the task at hand here at Cardiff City, we are happy for the national side to use Paul's talent to their benefit, at agreed junctures, as they pursue a place in the European Championships.
"It goes without saying that they have our full backing during this exciting time."
Trollope replaces Fulham head coach Kit Symons, who decided to relinquish his role with Wales.
