Malky Mackay reportedly wants £2m as payoff if he is sacked as Cardiff City manager.
According to the Sunday People, the Scot has sought the advice of League Managers' Association chief Richard Bevan in an effort to get compensation if he is fired by club owner Vincent Tan.
Tan reportedly sent an email to Mackay telling him to either resign or get fired, but the 41-year-old manager has insisted that he will not quit his job.
It has been reported that Bevan held talks with both Mackay and Tan at Anfield after Cardiff's 3-1 defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday.
Cardiff are currently four points above the relegation zone in 15th.
