Catania's Serie A fixture against Roma in Sicily was called off after 65 minutes on Saturday evening due to heavy rain.
Having already halted play for a few minutes earlier in the match, referee Paolo Tagliavento removed the players midway through the second half because of the worsening downpour.
During the game, Daniele De Rossi drew the visitors level after Nicola Legrottaglie's had given Catania the lead.
The final 25 minutes will be played at a future date.
