Celtic midfielder Nir Bitton has reportedly emerged as a January transfer target for Burnley.
While Bitton has been a regular in the first-team setup since 2013, the 28-year-old now has less than a year remaining on his contract.
According to The Sun, Burnley are ready to try to take advantage of the situation by launching a bid at the midway point of the campaign.
The report claims that the Clarets will attempt to sign the Israel international for as little as £1m, an approach which could be shunned by the Scottish giants.
Bitton has made 14 outings in all competitions this season, the latest of which came as a substitute during the 2-1 triumph over Lazio in the Europa League last week.
