Charlton Athletic manager Guy Luzon has admitted that his side needed to be 'aggressive' to earn their 3-0 win over Blackpool.
The Addicks moved up to 11th place in the Championship table last night as they recorded a comfortable victory at Bloomfield Road.
Charlton have now won four of their last five games in the league.
"We knew before the match you can't play possession on the ground because the pitch is very bad. We focused on the long ball and on the second ball," Luzon is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
"If you want to win this game you have to show aggression and we did it [during the match]. It's very important to score the first one and I'm very pleased because all our players gave everything."
Charlton are back in action on Saturday when they entertain FA Cup semi-finalists Reading in the league.
