Chelsea make nine changes for Thursday's Europa Conference League playoff tie versus Servette, the first leg taking place at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has made nine changes for Thursday's Europa Conference League playoff tie versus Servette.

The Blues head into the first leg at Stamford Bridge looking to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat at the hands of Premier League champions Manchester City at the weekend.

Rather than select a similar side to the one that had their moments versus City, Maresca has chosen to keep just Moises Caicedo and Christopher Nkunku in his starting lineup.

There are first Chelsea starts for numerous new arrivals with Filip Jorgensen, Tosin Adarabioyo, Renato Veiga, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Pedro Neto and Marc Guiu all falling into that category.

Mykhaylo Mudryk gets the nod on the left flank, with Noni Madueke surprisingly remaining on the substitutes' bench despite making an impact during pre-season.

Axel Disasi plays his first football since recovering from hernia surgery, while French compatriot Benoit Badiashile also lines up in the defence.

Marc Cucurella and Nicolas Jackson are each passed fit to feature among the replacements despite picking up fitness issues at the weekend.

Servette keep familiar XI

Meanwhile, Servette head coach Thomas Haberli has made just the two alterations from the team that started the 2-1 reverse to Braga in the second leg of the Europa League third qualifying round.

Miroslav Stefanovic and Dereck Kutesa - who scored as a substitute in that game - have been handed opportunities in the starting lineup.

Chelsea: Jorgensen; Disasi, Tosin, Badiashile, Veiga; Caicedo, Dewsbury-Hall, Nkunku; Neto, Guiu, Mudryk

Subs: Sanchez, Bettinelli, Colwill, Gusto, Cucurella, Lavia, Fernandez, Madueke, Palmer, Jackson

Servette: Frick; Tsunemoto, Rouiller, Severin, Mazikou; Stevanovic, Ondoua, Douline, Cognat, Kutesa; Crivelli

Subs: Antunes, Baron, Besson, Fankhauser, Guillemenot, Magnin, Mall, Ouattara, Sawadogo, Srdanovic, Von Moos, Weber body check tags ::
