Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Red Bull Salzburg

Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's injury and suspension news ahead of their Champions League clash with Red Bull Salzburg.

Chelsea will be bidding to bounce back from last week's Champions League disappointment when they continue their European campaign against Red Bull Salzburg on Wednesday night.

The Blues, who appointed Graham Potter as their new head coach at the end of last week, suffered a 1-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb in their Champions League opener on September 6.

The London club were due to face Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday, but the contest was postponed as a mark of respect following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their contest with Salzburg, who drew 1-1 with AC Milan in their Group E opener.

N'Golo Kante

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

N'Golo Kante was withdrawn in the latter stages of Chelsea's 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur last month, and the experienced midfielder is unlikely to be back on the field until October.

CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Chelsea have no players suspended for the clash with Salzburg.
