Colorado Rapids have stormed to a remarkable 5-1 victory over Seattles Sounders, which moves them to within four points of MLS Eastern Conference leaders Real Salt Lake.
The home side could not have gotten off to a better start, as Deshorn Brown scored the fastest goal in their history - and second fastest of all time in the MLS - with just 13 seconds on the clock.
It was a smart inside pass from Gabriel Torres that opened up space for his strike partner to run in a slip the ball underneath Michael Gspurning.
Dillon Powers left the Sounders completely shell-shocked by firing a second goal in the 10th minute, and Brown and Drew Moor put the Rapids 4-0 ahead before half time.
The Sounders replied through Eddie Johnson in the second half, but Torres managed to have the last laugh by opening his account for the Rapids in the final minute.
Sigi Schmid will take absolutely no consolation from the game, especially after seeing Zach Scott receive a second yellow card late on at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
However, his team only trail Salt Lake by one point, although they have played one fewer game than the leaders.
