Coventry City and Peterborough United fought to a 2-2 draw in an entertaining match at the Ricoh Arena this afternoon.
The visitors started the match perfectly, taking the lead after just three minutes when Emile Sinclair smashed his shot past Joe Murphy from 30 yards out.
The Sky Blues were level just before the half-hour mark, however, as Alex Nimely's cross found Cody McDonald, who made no mistake with his header.
The hosts took the lead on the stroke of half time after Lee Tomlin brought down Jordan Clarke in the penalty area. Gary McSheffrey stepped up and sent Paul Jones the wrong way to give Coventry the lead going into the break.
The home side almost extended their lead ten minutes into the second half when McSheffrey found McDonald in the box, but the former Norwich man's effort rebounded off the crossbar.
It was the visitors who were to get the next goal, however, as Sinclair got his second of the game, this time heading home from a corner to level the sides.
The Sky Blues almost stole all three points back in the last five minutes when McDonald had yet another chance, but this time his header came back off the post.
The result means that Peterborough remain 17th in the Championship while Coventry stay in 20th position, now two points clear of the relegation zone.
