After ending a seven-game winless run last weekend, Dallas will look to clinch back-to-back victories when they play host to Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday.
The visitors, meanwhile, will attempt to claim three points that would enable them to leapfrog their opponents in the Western Conference.
Match preview
After beating Orlando 3-1 on May 29, Dallas endured a torrid spell of form that saw them wait nearly two months for their next victory.
A seven-game winless run - which included four draws - was finally ended last weekend when Dallas claimed a narrow away victory over Real Salt Lake.
Jesus Ferreira's 14th-minute strike proved enough to secure Dallas all three points, which leaves them in fifth place in the Western Conference.
Despite winning last weekend, Dallas' place in the top seven is far from secure, with eighth-placed Portland Timbers just two points adrift of the Burn.
As they bid to cement their place in the playoffs, Dallas will be well aware that there is no better time than the present to clinch consecutive MLS victories for the first time since March.
Like their hosts, LA Galaxy are also aiming to record consecutive wins after beating Atlanta United last weekend.
The Galaxy entered the home meeting with the Five Stripes off the back of a three-game losing run, which began with a defeat to local rivals Los Angeles FC.
However, an early goal from Kevin Cabral set the Galaxy on their way to a win that was wrapped up by Dejan Joveljic, who found the net in the sixth minute of stoppage time.
Greg Vanney's side will now turn their attention to Saturday's contest where they will attempt to end a three-game winless away run.
If they can pick up an away win then the Galaxy - who currently sit in seventh place - would leapfrog their opponents in the Western Conference.

Team News
Marco Farfan will keep his position in the Dallas lineup after returning from a spell on the sidelines to feature in the starting XI against Real Salt Lake.
There could also be a place in the side for Edwin Cerillo who is set to replace Tsiki Ntsabeleng in midfield.
Ferreira grabbed his 12th goal of the season last weekend, and the forward will be eagerly anticipating Saturday's encounter after netting a brace against Los Angeles Galaxy in May.
As for the visitors, they are unable to call upon Jorge Villafana who is currently unavailable due to a knee injury.
Despite coming off the bench to score late on against Atlanta, Joveljic is set to miss out on a place in the starting lineup, with Vanney set to name an unchanged side.
After scoring his first goal of the MLS season last weekend, Cabral will look to find the net once again when he partners Javier Hernandez up front.
Dallas possible starting lineup:
Paes; Twumasi, Martinez, Hedges, Farfan; Cerillo, Quignon, Pomykal; Arriola, Velasco, Ferreira
Los Angeles Galaxy possible starting lineup:
Bond; Araujo, Zavaleta, Williams, Gasper; Costa, Delgado, Brugman, Raveloson; Cabral, Hernandez
We say: Dallas 2-1 Los Angeles Galaxy
Not only have Dallas won the last five home meetings with LA Galaxy, but they also managed to claim an away 3-1 victory over Saturday's opponents in May, and we think that they will add another win to their head-to-head record at the weekend.
