FC Dallas have defeated Vancouver Whitecaps 1-0 at home in Major League Soccer thanks to a goal in the last minute of injury time.
The hosts had the chance to go ahead after just 16 minutes when they were awarded a penalty after Martin Bonjour committed a challenge on Matt Hedges inside the area.
However, David Ferreira's spot kick was saved by Vancouver goalkeeper Brad Knighton.
Ferreira could have redeemed himself in the 41st minute when he tried to turn in Brek Shea's cross, but his attempt bounced off the Vancouver crossbar.
The home side continued to create chances after the half-time interval, with Vancouver managing just one good effort in the 84th minute.
John Thorrington picked up a loose ball and shot at the Dallas goal from just five yards, only for Kevin Hartman to make a good save.
With the game trickling to a goalless draw, Julian De Guzman popped up in the sixth and final minute of injury time to score from 20 yards with a left-footed volley.
