DC United have defeated New England Revolution 2-1 at home in Major League Soccer to place themselves in a playoff position.
The visitors drew first blood in the 29th minute when Kelyn Rowe's deflected shot found its way past goalkeeper Bill Hamid.
Three minutes later, though, United were level as Chris Pontius scored from 25 yards.
United began to assert their supremacy in the second half and went ahead in the 61st minute when substitute Lewis Neal collected a pass from Pontius and shot past goalkeeper Matt Reis from outside the box.
New England came close to equalising 11 minutes from time through Benny Feilhaber, but his shot just narrowly went past the post.
