Chris Martin scored a late winner to hand Derby County victory over Bournemouth in their Championship clash at the iPro Stadium.
The visitors came within inches of taking the lead in the 16th minute when Matt Ritchie fired an effort from distance, but his effort clattered off the post and was cleared to safety by the Rams.
Eddie Howe's side were playing the better football and again acme close as Tokelo Rantie and Lewis Grabban played a neat one-two, which saw the latter find space for a shot, but his attempt went wide from close range.
Grabban had another chance minutes later as he turned his man on the edge of the area and fired a shot with his right foot, but he could only direct it straight into the hands of Lee Grant.
After the break, substitute Simon Dawkins did well for the hosts down the right as he manage to dig out a cross for Connor Sammon who tried to shoot, but his shot was well blocked by Tommy Elphick.
Dawkins was having a major effect on the game in the second half as he raided down the right again and this time his cross found Jeff Hendrick, but he fired an effort over the bar.
Steve McClaren's side were upping the ante and came so close to taking the lead when Chris Martin lifted a cross into the box. Sammon missed the ball but Johnny Russell didn't, although his effort was cleared off the line.
Derby finally made their second-half pressure tell when Will Hughes won a free kick on the edge of the area, and Martin stepped up to drill an effort into the top corner to hand his side the win.
