Jake Buxton has shrugged off an injury to start Derby County's clash with newly-promoted Rotherham United in their Championship curtain raiser today.
Buxton passed a fitness test to start at the iPro Stadium after the defender was considered a doubt due to a hip flexor problem.
The 29-year-old is joined in the Rams' defence by Craig Forsyth, Richard Keogh and Cyrus Christie, who makes his Derby debut following a summer move from Coventry City.
Likewise, Matt Derbyshire, one of 12 pre-season recruits by Rotherham manager Steve Evans, will make his Millers bow and spearhead their attack alongside Alex Revell.
Derby County: Grant; Christie, Keogh, Buxton, Forsyth; Hughes, Bryson, Hendrick, Dawkins; Russell, Martin
Rotherham United: Collin; Broadfoot, Morgan, Arnason, Skarz; Agard, Frecklington, Green, Pringle; Revell, Derbyshire
