Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Chris Kirkland has joined Doncaster Rovers on a loan deal until January, according to BBC Radio Sheffield.
The 30-year-old has struggled with injuries since joining Wigan in 2006 and as a way of gaining match sharpness he spent part of last season with Leicester City on a temporary deal.
The keeper has become new manager Dean Saunders's third addition in recent days following the arrivals of Pascal Chimbonda and Herita Ilunga.
Kirkland is expected to make his Rovers debut against Leeds United on Friday evening.
