Eintracht Frankfurt coach Armin Veh has admitted that his players want to progress in the Europa League for the sake of the fans who have watched them play away.
Up to 12,000 supporters are expected to travel to Bordeaux for the away leg in France and Veh said that the support provided has boosted performances on the pitch.
"When I read that 8,000 to 12,000 Frankfurt fans are going to follow us to Bordeaux, then that's not normal," Veh told Bundesliga.com. "That's extraordinary, which is why we are taking this competition very seriously.
"There's an air of anticipation for European football. It's great to be able to measure ourselves against teams we wouldn't normally play against. We The way the fans are taking to our games is fantastic here in Frankfurt."
Frankfurt currently top Group F with maximum points from two games.
