Peter Crouch is aiming for a return to the England side despite falling out of favour with Fabio Capello.
The Stoke striker, who has scored 22 times for his country, has not represented the national side since a friendly against France last November at Wembley.
Although he remains positive that he can add to the 42 caps he holds, Crouch concedes that his chance may not come until after Euro 2012.
"I certainly would never give up on playing for my country," Crouch told the Sunday Telegraph.
Crouch will face former club Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday for the first time since his summer move to the Britannia Stadium.
