Fiorentina have suffered a 2-0 defeat to Pescara at home in Serie A but remain third in the table for the time being.
Both of the visiting side's goals at Stadio Artemio Franchi came in the second half after the home team failed to take advantage of their domination in the opening 45 minutes.
The Viola made the better start of the two teams, with Luca Toni forcing a good save from Mattia Perin as early as the second minute.
Nenad Tomovic and Juan Cuadrado went close for the home side, but both were denied by Perin between the Pescara posts.
Perin was on hand to keep the score goalless when he kept out an Alberto Aquilani header from close range, before turning away the Italian midfielder's free kick.
Despite all their domination in the first 45 minutes, Fiorentina went behind on 57 minutes when Jonathas headed home Vladimir Weiss's cross from the left.
Mervan Celik went close to making it 2-0 for Pescara as the half progressed, but failed to keep his shot from a good position on target.
However, the 22-year-old made no mistake in injury time when he doubled his side's advantage to wrap up the points.
