Fiorentina vs. Cagliari (Sunday, 11.30am)

Aiming to equal a club record for consecutive Serie A successes, high-flying Fiorentina will welcome Cagliari to Stadio Franchi on Sunday.

The Viola are on a superb seven-match winning streak in the league, and after an eventful week they now hope to extend that at the Sardinian side's expense.

We say: Fiorentina 2-1 Cagliari

Though their rhythm has been broken by recent events, the Viola should prevail and write their names into club history with an eighth straight league win.

Cagliari (10) and Fiorentina (eight) have gained the most points in Serie A via goals scored after the 70th minute, so a dramatic conclusion could be in store.

Hellas Verona vs. Empoli (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Two teams expected to face a battle for Serie A survival meet at Stadio Bentegodi on Sunday, when Hellas Verona host Empoli.

While Hellas have been struggling since a promising start to the season, their visitors' fine early form has nosedived - though they did cause a cup shock in midweek.

We say: Hellas Verona 1-2 Empoli

As evidenced by their shootout success in Florence, Empoli have travelled quite well this season, losing only twice in the league so far.

With some in-form forwards at their disposal, the visitors can deepen Verona's woes by winning at the Bentegodi.

Venezia vs. Como (Sunday, 5.00pm)

Set for their first Serie A meeting since 1950, promoted strugglers Venezia and Como will clash at Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo on Sunday evening.

Separated by three points near the foot of the standings, victory would take the hosts level with their visitors from Lombardy.

We say: Venezia 1-1 Como

Only Lecce have a lower shot-conversion rate than Venezia (7%) and Como (6.9%) in Serie A this season, so goals may be at a premium.

Neither side can keep the back door shut, though, so a low-scoring draw may be the final outcome in this relegation scrap.

Napoli vs. Lazio (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Three days after a comprehensive cup win in Rome, Lazio will reconvene with Serie A title rivals Napoli on Sunday, when the pair go toe-to-toe at Stadio Maradona.

The Aquile soared into the Coppa Italia quarter-finals by beating the Partenopei on home turf, and they now aim to repeat the feat in Naples.

We say: Napoli 2-1 Lazio

Only a weak away record has kept Lazio from matching Napoli's pace so far this season, and that may undermine their hopes of victory at Stadio Maradona.

Whatever happens within 90 minutes, the two southern sides have scored the most goals during second-half stoppage time this season - four apiece - so a frantic finale could be on the cards.
