France defender Theo Hernandez reportedly missed training ahead of Sunday's World Cup last-16 meeting with Poland.
The AC Milan left-back started the tournament as a substitute, but he came off the bench in the 13th minute of the opening game against Australia to replace his brother Lucas Hernandez, who sustained a serious knee injury.
After providing two assists across the victories over Australia and Denmark, he was rested for Wednesday's 1-0 defeat to Tunisia.
With France preparing for Sunday's last 16 game against Poland, Theo Hernandez missed Friday's training session due to a slight ankle injury.
According to Football Italia, France's coaching and medical staff are hopeful that he will return to take part in training on Saturday.
Since making his international debut against Finland in September 2021, Theo Hernandez has gone on to make nine appearances for his country, registering one goal and six assists.
