Genoa came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw in their Serie A match against Palermo this evening.
Paulo Dybala gave the visitors the lead in the seventh minute when he drove into the box before curling a strike past Mattia Perin and into the top corner.
The hosts then had the ball in net down the other end as Alessandro Matri turned in Edenilson's delivery, but the Brazilian had run the ball out of play before he was able to cross.
On the half-hour mark Andrea Bertolacci equalised for Genoa when he latched on to a clearance just outside the box and drilled a low effort into the bottom corner.
Dybala almost restored Palmero's lead before the break, but after driving through on goal he was denied by Perin.
The second half started slowly, but the game sprung back into life when Franco Vazquez fired a strike against the post from the edge of the box.
Palermo continued to look the side more likely to score the next goal and Robin Quaison saw his header kept out by Perin, before Vazquez nodded wide.
The visitors were then fortunate not to concede as Mauricio Pinilla met Luca Antonelli's cross inside the six-yard box, but he ended up heading the ball over the bar.
In stoppage time Pinilla could have stolen the points for Genoa, but he headed Diego Perotti's cross over the bar and it proved to be the last chance as the game finished on level terms.
