Manchester City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega will be eyeing a debut for the Germany national team in Saturday's UEFA Nations League clash with Bosnia-Herzegovina in League A Group 3.
The 32-year-old is the only uncapped player in Julian Nagelsmann's ranks for November's matches against Bosnia and Hungary, where Germany realistically need just one point to guarantee a first-placed finish.
However, Nagelsmann is expected to stick with Oliver Baumann - who only made his debut in October's 1-0 win over the Netherlands - in between the posts, but he will be forced into a defensive change.
Borussia Dortmund's Nico Schlotterbeck is suspended due to an accumulation of bookings, so Jonathan Tah and Antonio Rudiger should form the central pairing, with Maximilian Mittelstadt and Joshua Kimmich operating in the full-back areas.
Robert Andrich and Pascal Gross ought to link arms in the deepest midfield slots, but with Florian Wirtz struggling with an illness, Jamal Musiala is likely to operate in the number 10 position.
The former England youth international could comprise part of a three-strong Bayern Munich support cast, as Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane also support the central striker, likely to be Kai Havertz.
The Arsenal man should benefit from the withdrawal of Deniz Undav to start up front, although Tim Kleindienst is an alternative option in the final third.
Germany possible starting lineup:
Baumann; Kimmich, Tah, Rudiger, Mittelstadt; Andrich, Gross; Gnabry, Musiala, Sane; Havertz
