Emphatic defeats in midweek mean that both Huddersfield Town and Rotherham United head into Saturday's Championship meeting low on confidence.
After pulling away from the bottom three with a crucial win over Millwall last weekend, Rotherham's hopes of gaining momentum were halted with a 3-1 loss to a clinical Cardiff City.
It was a similar story for Huddersfield, who fell to successive defeats in the space of a few days by losing 4-1 to Brentford.
Rotherham boss Steve Evans, in particular, will be disappointed with the result against Cardiff after his side had made such an impressive start before conceding three goals in the first half.
The Millers are still six points clear of the relegation zone, but with 11 games left in the season, Evans will be fully aware that his side are not safe yet.
Huddersfield head into this weekend's meeting in a slightly more comfortable 16th position, and Chris Powell must be urging his side to look further up the table with 12th-placed Charlton currently only three points ahead of the Terriers.
Nahki Wells is pushing for a return to the Huddersfield squad following his recent battle with a shoulder injury, while Ishmael Miller could be handed a recall in attack for the hosts.
Rotherham will be without Adam Hammill due to the terms of his loan from Huddersfield, but Connor Sammon could be back in the starting lineup after being used from the bench in midweek.
