Hull City winger Robert Snodgrass vows to show fans what he can do when he makes his return to action in October.

Hull City winger Robert Snodgrass has revealed that he expects to be back playing in October following almost 11 months out with a knee injury.

The 27-year-old dislocated his kneecap during his Hull debut last August.

Since then, the former Norwich City player has had to watch the Tigers drop from the Premier League to the Championship, but the winger is hopeful that he can help take Hull back to the top flight.

"It has been a very disappointing season, not just for myself but for the club too so I am itching to get back to try and help the lads achieve promotion back to the Premier League," Snodgrass told the club's official website.

"I appreciate the support, but it is a lonely place being sidelined as the lads have been preparing for games whereas I have been getting ready for the next day's challenge.

"My ambition is to get back playing for the club and show exactly what I can do. I came here to show the fans what I can do."

Hull's first game of the new season is against Huddersfield Town at the KC Stadium on August 8.
