Hull City defender James Chester has said that he is "bitterly disappointed" with the club's relegation from the Premier League.
Yesterday's 0-0 draw with Manchester United confirmed their plight, and they will join Burnley and Queens Park Rangers in the Championship next season.
Chester told Sky Sports News: "This is a moment that will probably haunt all of us for the rest of our lives. Everyone is bitterly disappointed. It's a failure that we will all have to carry in our careers and for the rest of our days.
"It's a really difficult one to take, especially when you look around our changing room. It's a squad that shouldn't be in this position."
Hull won only eight games all season.
