Hull City winger Tom Ince has said that his loan spell at Derby County was great for him, despite the club missing out on promotion from the Championship.
The 23-year-old joined the Rams in February and played a key role in the side, starting 18 league matches and scoring 11 goals.
However, Ince's time in the East Midlands ended on a sour note as Steve McClaren's side fell out of the playoff places on the final day of the season after losing 3-0 at home to Reading.
"To be part of it this year has been fantastic," Ince told talkSPORT.
"It's always difficult coming into a club so late on in a season, because of the expectation, and the fans, naturally, question whether you have come to the club to be part of what they are trying to achieve with the team or if you are just in it for yourself.
"I think I can look back, though, on an individual basis, [and say] it's been a great loan move for me."
Ince was also loaned out to Nottingham Forest earlier this season.
