Hull City midfielder Robert Snodgrass has praised his side's "mentality and character" following their victory over champions Leicester City on the opening day of the new Premier League season.
The newly-promoted Tigers looked to be in disarray heading into their first campaign back in the top flight, with only 13 senior players to choose from and Mike Phelan in temporary charge of the club.
However, they managed to pull off a major shock in the season's curtain-raiser, with Snodgrass scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 triumph over the Foxes.
"It is a great feeling. Leicester know it is a new season and we have togetherness. The mentality and character got us through," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
Hull will look to continue their winning start to the new season when they face Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium next weekend.
