Hull City defender Alex Bruce has revealed that he is eager to sign a new contract with the club.
The 30-year-old's current terms at the KC Stadium are due to expire at the end of the season.
Bruce has found first-team action harder to come by following Michael Dawson's arrival over the summer, but he is hopeful that he can earn himself an extension in the coming months.
"I have had to be patient and had to wait for a chance, but that is the same for all Premier League players," he told the Hull Daily Mail. "I only have a few months left on my contract but would love to stay.
"We will have to wait and see. I don't know when anything might happen. I will just sit and wait to see if the club think I merit a new deal. It is out of my hands."
Bruce joined Hull in 2012 following a two-year spell with Leeds United.
