Inter Milan have been held to a 2-2 draw by Neftchi Baku in their final Europa League Group H clash at San Siro.
Having already confirmed their place in the round of 32, the Italian giants fielded a young and inexperienced team against the Azerbaijani side.
However, the Nerazzurri had no problem in calling the shots, as Marko Livaja put them ahead in the ninth minute.
Alvaro Pereira slipped a pass from the left side, and the 19-year-old made no mistake from the centre of the Baku penalty area.
Javid Imamverdiyev and Tarlan Guliyev came close for the visitors in quick succession as the first half progressed, but on both occasions they failed to hit the target.
Inter, though, soon reasserted themselves on the game with Walter Samuel heading just wide on 28 minutes, and Luca Garritano's shot narrowly missing the target in the 35th minute.
Baku, though, were more positive in the opening minutes of the second half and restored parity in the 52nd minute.
Imamverdiyev set up Rashad Abulfaz Sadygov outside the Inter penalty box, and the midfielder fired in from 25 yards past Vid Belec.
However, two minutes later Inter regained their lead, Livaja scoring his second goal of the evening at San Siro with a header from Yuto Nagatomo's left-wing cross.
Moments later Phillippe Coutinho saw his good right-footed shot go wide, before Antonio Cassano went close for the hosts midway through the second half.
Baku stole a point in the final minute of normal time when Nicolas Canales headed home from close range.
