Mauro Icardi scores from the penalty spot as Inter Milan go into the break 1-0 up against Cesena in their Serie A match.

Inter Milan are on course to win for the first time in four Serie A matches after taking a 1-0 half-time lead over Cesena this evening.

On the half-hour mark Cesena were reduced to 10 men when goalkeeper Nicola Leali was shown a straight red card for bringing down Rodrigo Palacio inside the box.

From the resulting penalty kick Mauro Icardi made no mistake with a composed effort that sent substitute keeper Federico Agliardi the wrong way.

Guido Marilungo almost brought his side level just minutes later, but he could only direct the ball over the bar from close range.
