Inter Milan's winless run in Serie A was stretched to five matches following a 1-1 draw against bottom-of-the-league Parma at the San Siro this afternoon.
Xherdan Shaqiri had Inter's first attempt of the match, but his low strike from just inside the box was comfortably held by the keeper.
The hosts were struggling to create any clear-cut chances, but they broke the deadlock in the 25th minute when Fredy Guarin's shot took a deflection off Jose Mauri and left Antonio Mirante with no chance.
Parma responded well to falling behind and Andrea Costa saw his long-range free kick touched over the bar by Samir Handanovic.
The visitors were then rewarded for their efforts as, with a minute of the first half remaining, Andi Lila met Silvestre Varela's cross and planted a header into the top corner to level the scores.
After the break, Mateo Kovacic headed off target and Marcelo Brozovic flashed a shot inches wide as Inter looked to regain the lead.
Guarin saw a free kick saved by Mirante and Hernanes was also denied by the keeper late on, but Inter were unable to find a way through and they left the pitch at the final whistle to a chorus of boos from the home fans.
