Juventus have headed into half time level with AS Monaco in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final following a goalless first 45 minutes in Turin this evening.
The home side threatened early on as Alvaro Morata found himself in space in the box, but could only volley the ball high, while a low strike from Carlos Tevez a few minutes later was comfortably saved.
Monaco also got forward early on as Layvin Kurzawa brought the ball out from the back before unleashing a powerful effort from 20 yards out, but it did not trouble Gianluigi Buffon.
The French side looked sharp on the counter-attack, with Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco curling the ball just wide with an effort from the edge of the box, before another long-range strike from the winger forced Buffon to tip it behind.
Monaco continued to look the more likely after forcing a corner, which Kurzawa jumped up highest to meet, but he could only head wide of the near post.
Juventus started to come back into the match as half time neared, but Claudio Marchisio twice missed the target with efforts from outside the box.
Monaco wanted a penalty just before the interval though as Giorgio Chiellini challenged Anthony Martial in the box, but the referee was not interested.
