Juventus have dominated much of the opening half of their Champions League clash against Borussia Monchengladbach, but have struggled to break down Andre Schubert's organised side.
Mario Mandzukic was within inches of turning home Alvaro Morata's pass inside the opening two minutes as the hosts started brightly.
Morata then collected a Paul Pogba pass and curled an effort across the face of goal, before Leonardo Bonucci had to be alert to stop Fabian Johnson's ball teeing up a goal for the visitors.
Juan Cuadrado lashed an effort from range narrowly wide midway through the half, but by and large Yann Sommer in the Monchengladbach goal remained untroubled.
The pattern of play only continued as Pogba hammered an effort narrowly wide of goal following a corner, before the visitors survived a scare when defender Alvaro Dominguez was only booked after bringing down Morata when he appeared to be the last man.
