Giorgio Chiellini has claimed that Juventus and Italy teammate Gianluigi Buffon should be considered the best goalkeeper of all time.
The 29-year-old believes that Buffon's quality gives the Italians confidence as they target a successful World Cup campaign in Brazil this summer.
"Buffon, for us, is the captain," Chiellini told Goal.com. "He is the player with the most experience and we are lucky to have the man who I believe is the best goalkeeper of all time defending our goal.
"We always try to make sure that he has to make very few saves but it is extremely reassuring having him in goal."
Buffon holds the record for appearances made in an Italian shirt with 139.
