A second-half goal from midfielder Hernanes was enough to give Lazio a 1-0 home victory over Legia Warsaw in the Europa League.
Having played out a goalless first half, Lazio finally took the lead when Balde Diao Keita beat two defenders before delivering a deep cross for Hernanes, who arrived late in the box to head into the bottom corner.
The duo combined again soon after as Keita won a free kick, which Hernanes blasted over the bar from 30 yards out as Lazio looked to increase their lead.
Hernanes was involved again as the Italian outfit almost made it 2-0, with the midfielder picking up the ball on the left wing before cutting inside to drill his effort against the post.
However, Legia should have hit back when Miroslav Radovic found himself with too much time before being dispossessed after a great display of passing from his side.
