Goals from Carlos Tevez and Leonardo Bonucci gave Serie A leaders Juventus a 2-0 win at home to Lazio.
The home side started brightly and almost took the lead in the 14th minute as Claudio Marchisio sent a low strike towards goal, but Federico Marchetti dived low to his left and made the save.
Just three minutes later, they took the lead as Tevez latched onto the end of a long pass and stroked the ball into the back of the net.
Lazio had a golden chance to equalise eight minutes later, but Miroslav Klose blazed the ball over the bar from 10 yards.
The visitors were made to pay for that miss as Bonucci drove forward from defence and slammed the ball past the goalkeeper.
Juventus were unlucky not to go three ahead on the stroke of half time as Patrice Evra headed wide from just 10 yards.
After the break, Lazio moved the ball much quicker and started to threaten. Antonio Candreva hit the crossbar from a free kick, while Lucas Biglia almost caught out Gianluigi Buffon from long range.
However, their threat fizzled out and they were reduced to 10 men late on as Danilo Cataldi was shown a straight red card for a lunging tackle on Tevez.
