Middlesbrough had a goal disallowed as they played out a goalless first half against Leeds United at Elland Road in the Championship this afternoon.
The hosts almost broke the deadlock just two minutes into the match when Nicky Ajose tried a low shot, but it was cleared off the line.
Albert Adomah thought that he had given the visitors the lead shortly before the half-hour mark, but the referee ruled his finish out because of a high challenge in the build-up.
Tommaso Bianchi tried a long-range volley for the hosts, but his effort went straight to Tomas Mejias in the Middlesbrough goal.
Adomah came close again just before the break, but a last-gasp block from Stephen Warnock ensured that the ball did not find the back of the net, sending the sides into the break level.
