Read how Sheffield Wednesday picked up their first point of the season by drawing at Leeds United in the Championship lunchtime kickoff.

Hello and welcome to Sports Mole's live text coverage of the Yorkshire battle between Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship.

The two sides head into today's lunchtime kickoff in contrasting moods, with Leeds boasting an unbeaten start to the campaign while Wednesday have lost both matches so far.

Can the Owls kickstart their season or will Leeds add to their misery? Find out below.

Morning all! It may be the first day of the Premier League season, but there's a cracking Championship tie first up this Saturday afternoon. It's a Yorkshire clash between Leeds and Wednesday! Team news coming right up...
LEEDS XI: Kenny; Peltier, Lees, Pearce, Warnock; Green, Austin, Murphy; McCormack, Poleon, Varney
The Wednesday lineup is yet to filter through, so let's take a closer look at that Leeds side. Brian McDermott makes one change to the side that drew at Leicester last time, with Dominic Poleon in for Noel Hunt.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! It's Dave Jones's 56th birthday today and he'll be desperate for his boys to upset the odds and register the Owls' first points of the campaign.

We're still waiting for the Wednesday lineup to filter through from Elland Road. When these two last met it was Leeds who overturned a 1-0 half-time deficit to win 2-1, with Luke Varney grabbing a brace.
In the other fixture at Hillsborough there was a nasty moment when Wednesday keeper Chris Kirkland was attacked by a Leeds fan who ran on the pitch. None of that today, please.
PREDICTION! Ten minutes until kickoff so it's time for my prediction. Sorry Owls fans, but I just can't see your boys getting a result today. I think it's going to be four losses from four to start the season I'm afraid to say. Leeds 3-1.
WEDNESDAY XI: Kirkland; Buxton, Gardner, Zayatte, Helan; Palmer, Prutton, Coke, Antonio; Nuhiu, Maguire
Great news for Wednesday that right-back Lewis Buxton is fit again. There's also a start for Chris Maguire in attack alongside new boy Athde Nuhiu (Ad-tay Noo-hee-oo) and Michail Antonio.
Great atmosphere inside Elland Road. The teams are out and we're just about ready to go!
KICKOFF! Referee Roger East blows his whistle for the first time and we're underway!
First man to receive a talking-to is Warnock for taking out Maguire, whose pass was too quick for him. No need for a card this early on and East wisely lets it go.
The lack of goalmouth action in the opening five minutes hasn't dampened the noise coming from both ends of Elland Road. Great atmosphere.
Almost a big mistake from Warnock. Prutton hoisted a ball over the top for Palmer and he almost latched on to the former Villa man's header back to Kenny. Encouraging start for the visitors.
Antonio's long throw is met by Kenny but his punch isn't convincing and gives Prutton a chance to shoot from the edge of the box. He doesn't meet it well though and after a bit of penalty-box pinball, Warnock clears.
Zayatte brings down Varney carelessly out on the left and Leeds have their first chance to swing it in. Murphy does just that and Kirkland's flap is far from convincing but luckily there's no white shirt sneaking around the back.
Excellent play from Antonio. He works a yard of space out on the left before clipping a cross into a really dangerous area that's just too high for the 6'6" Nuhiu. Kenny punches away.
"We all hate Leeds, we all hate Leeds," chant the Wednesday fans. They love each other really.
After the opening quarter of an hour you have to congratulate Wednesday on having more - 54% - of the ball away from home. Especially as they go into this game on a losing slump.
Nervy, nervy moment for Wednesday. Coke's pass is intercepted and Poleon is away down the left. Buxton gets back at him and maybe tugs a little before the ball breaks for Varney whose shot from a tight angle is saved by Kirkland. Probably the best chance of the match and it was only a half-chance.
BIG challenge from Austin on Coke and that gets a roar of approval from the home fans. Coke appreciates that it was a fair tackle and is on his feet straight away.
CHANCE! How close are Wednesday to taking the lead there?! Antonio's corner is met by Nuhiu inside the six-yard box and his header hits the hip of Kenny. The Leeds stopper knew little about it but kept it out, just.
YELLOW! First booking of the game goes to Wednesday's Maguire. Didn't take too long!
Helan dilly-dallies on the edge of his own box and Green is in on the right side of the area. He looks to square for a teammate but it's cut out by Prutton, with Kirkland pouncing on the loose ball.
Palmer is found with a looped pass from Prutton and he goes for a Marco van Basten-esque volley across goal from a tight angle but pulls it wide. There was little else on.
Briefly away from Elland Road, I'd recommend that you open this link in a new tab and follow Jack Prescott's coverage of the Premier League opener between Liverpool and Stoke. Kickoff moments away. I'll keep you updated of any goals at Anfield.
Peltier directs his long throw away from the six-yard box to pick out Green. The winger can't get it under control though and the ball bobbles through to Kirkland. Very little to speak of in this opening half an hour.
SAVE! Murphy prods it through for McCormack who drives onto his left peg before attempting a Philippe Albert-style chip over Kirkland. There's not enough height on it though and the Owls keeper tips it over.
GOAL! Leeds 0-1 Wednesday (Zayatte)
Helan's deep corner is headed back across goal by Antonio and there's the new signing to loop a header over Kenny into the far corner. Game on!
You have to say that Wednesday perhaps deserve the lead for their impressive display, especially away from home.
Warnock's corner is met by Austin but he gets nowhere near the right direction on it. Jones will be over the moon if the Owls can hold their lead into the break.
Antonio has got a powerful set of pins on him and he almost outruns Warnock when trying to counter. Good defending from the left-back though and it's a corner.
TWO minutes have been added on, by the way.
Helan's first corner is headed out for another and the second picks out Antonio, who continually floats to the back stick, but he can't get it on target.
HALF-TIME: Leeds 0-1 Wednesday
Well, what a half for Wednesday. The Owls came into this game with 'nil points' after two games but now they're on course to upset Yorkshire rivals Leeds and move up the table.
If you're only just joining us and want a quick summary of the opening 45, read our HT report here.
Looking at the stats, both sides have had five shots but Leeds haven't really tested Kirkland. Wednesday are really dominating in the air, with a 75% aerial success rate.
Over at Anfield, it's still goalless between Liverpool and Stoke but there has been chances and woodwork hit at both ends! Follow here.
LEEDS SUB: McDermott makes a half-time change that sees Michael Tonge replace Paul Green. No changes for the Owls.
KICKOFF! The Owls get the second 45 underway. Sky Sports report that Green has picked up a back injury so that's the reason for his withdrawal.
There has been a goal at Anfield and it's Liverpool who lead through Daniel Sturridge.
Back to Elland Road and it's been a solid start to the half from Wednesday. You will have expected Leeds to dominate but it's been more of the same with little goalmouth action.
The attendance is 23,766, with 1,062 currently delighted Wednesday fans.
SHOT! Murphy became an instant Leeds hero with his opening-day injury-time winner against Brighton. He tries to double his Whites account but rockets his half-volley well over Kirkland's crossbar.
Twice Leeds appeal for a penalty and both times referee East waves away the shouts correctly.
YELLOW! A second Wednesday name into the book is Buxton for time-wasting from a throw-in.
GOAL! Leeds 1-1 Wednesday (McCormack)
Brilliant stuff from the number 44! Varney flicks it to him just inside the Wednesday half and there's space to run into so he does. Zayatte comes to meet him but McCormack cleverly pokes the ball one side of him before running round the other and scuffing a finish past Kirkland from just inside the area.
A quick free kick from Leeds allows Peltier to get in an unchallenged cross from the right but it's cleared by Zayatte.
WEDNESDAY SUB: Jones makes his first change of the match, with left-back Reda Johnson coming on for Maguire. That should see Helan move up to left-midfield.
Fabulous cross from Johnson with his first touch that looks destined for the head of Nuhiu until Lees takes it away from him at the last moment. Really in the balance as we head into the final quarter at Elland Road.
WEDNESDAY SUB: Another change for the visitors that sees Nuhiu replaced by another summer signing, Jacques Maghoma. Antonio will now lead the line.
LEEDS SUB: Varney's last action is to win a corner before he's replaced by Matt Smith.
Warnock's corner is met by Austin on the volley. The Leeds skipper strikes it sweetly but it's blocked instantly.
Bit of handbags between Antonio and Peltier and, to be honest, they're lucky to escape a booking or perhaps worse. Antonio especially was flailing dangerously with his legs. The calm presence of East just gives them a ticking-off.
GOOD SAVE! Lees misjudges a long ball and Antonio just has Pearce in front of him. He shifts it onto his right peg and fizzes a shot towards the right corner. Kenny gets down low and does well to control the shot with a two-handed stop.
Tonge somehow makes his way into the box and has his heel clipped as he is about to shoot. East doesn't see anything in it though and the Leeds man has to shift it to McCormack whose shot is blocked.
Another good block from a black shirt. This time it's Zayatte who flings himself in the way of Tonge's fierce drive. Leeds have shifted from second to fourth as we go into the final 10.
WHAT A CHANCE!A long throw from the left somehow reaches Maghoma who brings it down a waits a second before getting off a shot that is blocked by a combination of of Pearce and Warnock. The ball hit Pearce's arm but it ricocheted there and would have been a very harsh penalty.
Poleon again crumbles under a challenge and looks up longingly at East. He's been a bit whingy, the Leeds frontman. He'll learn, he's only 19.
LEEDS SUB: And that's actually his last action as neutrals' favourite El-Hadji Diouf comes on.
Down one end Murphy looks to curl into the corner but it's tame and Kirkland is there before Johnson whips over a cross down the Wednesday left that's unlucky not to pick out one of three black shirts in the middle.
Tonge just fails to keep it in from a long free kick as we enter the final minute of normal time. Can either side find a winner?
FIVE minutes added on at the end.
FULL-TIME: Leeds 1-1 Wednesday
A draw it is then between the two Yorkshire sides. A first point of the season for Wednesday, who have avoided a fourth straight 2-1 defeat. That's all we've got time for on SM stick around for plenty more footy this afternoon!
