New Leeds United head coach Darko Milanic has said that he is "motivated and excited" ahead of his first match in charge of the club this weekend.
Leeds will take on Brentford at Griffin Park on Saturday looking to extend their recent four-match unbeaten streak and potentially move into the playoff places.
Milanic left Sturm Graz to sign a two-year deal at Elland Road earlier this week, and he sang the praises of the new club ahead of his managerial bow in English football.
"I'm very motivated and excited about my new job. This is a very special thing for me, to be the head coach of such a big club with great tradition and great fans," the Slovenian told reporters.
"For me this is a great opportunity to improve myself and also the team. Leeds is one of the most traditional clubs in England and they have had great players in their history. Leeds have won titles and enjoyed good times in the Champions League."
Leeds currently sit 12th in the Championship table with 13 points from their opening eight matches.
